MORTGAGE CHECK LIST
Checklist of items for a mortgage application.
- 1. Social Security Cards
- 2. Drivers License or Picture IDs
- 3. Bank statements for all checking, savings or investment accounts
(2 most recent)
- 4. Two most recent pay stubs
- 5. Divorce decrees
- 6. W-2's for last 2 years
- 7. Documents showing other real estate owned and loan information on
same.
- 8. Certificate of Eligibility or DD214's on VA mortgages (not
required for VA-Owned properties)
- 9. For self-employed only:
- Tax returns and schedules for last 2 years
Year-to-date profit and loss statement
- 10. For commissioned sales people only:
- Tax returns and schedules for past 2 years
Year-to-date profit and loss statement
Most recent 1099 or W-2 statement
- 11. Written explanation of credit problems or slow payments
